The Village of Cumberland is updating its Zoning Bylaw, as it updates its Official Community Plan, to meet the needs of the growing community.

A draft bylaw is ready for community review.

A virtual open house is Tuesday, October 7, from 630pm to 8pm.

An in-person house follows, on Wednesday, October 8, from 430pm to 730pm at the Masonic Hall on Dunsmuir Avenue. You can register for the virtual session at engagecomoxvalley.ca/Cumberland - that’s where you can view a copy of the draft.

Meanwhile, feedback on the new draft Official Community Plan has been extended to Monday, October 6.

The zoning bylaw translates policies from the OCP, which lays out a long-term vision, goals and policies to guide growth and change in Cumberland over 10 years and beyond.
