Saturday, October 25, don't miss an Art workshop led by artist Kate Horowitz at the Campbell River Art Gallery from 11am to 1pm.

More Information (CKCC The Raven 100.7 is not responsible for external websites)

Join artist Kate Horowitz to learn how to transform your poems into spells. The best haiku are more than poems: they’re portals, transporting both writer and reader into awareness and connecting them with the magic of the natural world. In this workshop, we’ll use the often-misunderstood form of haiku to create miniature personal spell-books filled with mindful crystallizations of presence, observation, and emotion.

Attendees will leave this 2-hour workshop with a deeper connection to nature and mindfulness, as well as their own tiny poetry spell-book.

About Kate Horowitz:

Kate Horowitz (she/they) is a writer, arter, and sea witch on the rocky coast of Maine, USA. Her poems have been printed in national and international publications, as well as on tarot cards, matchboxes, and one person's shower curtain. She likes thunderstorms and moss and dancing and little bats with big ears. Find her online at Kate Horowitz (writing) and Big Challenges (stickers and stationery), or on Instagram.
