Saturday, April 29th, the Campbell River & North Island Transition Society presents a special viewing of The Shawshank Redemption, adapted for the stage by Owen O'Neill & Dave Johns, at the River City Stage in Campbell River.

Directed by Glen Clark & based on the Stephen King novella, it follows the story of Andy Dufresne, who’s convicted of murder & sentenced to life, but must find a way to keep himself & his hope alive by using his wits & forging friendships. The production stars Brian Down, William Selby, Adam Coupland, Dennis Hawkins-Bogle, Dave Collins, Nicolas Toupin, Bryan Falk, Jachym Mahel, Norman Brom, Chris Willcock, James Dortch, Wakely Ross, & Paulo Murphy.
It starts at 7:30pm, tickets are $27 with proceeds benefiting the Campbell River & North Island Transition Society, supporting women & children fleeing violent situations in the community.
