Friday, November 20th, catch Showman & Coole at the Regier Theatre, formerly the Old Church Theatre, in Courtenay.
More Information (CKCC The Raven 100.7 is not responsible for external websites)
Master musicians John Showman on fiddle & Chris Coole on the banjo have been playing for 25 years. Their music lurks in a truly unique space that’s somewhere on the outskirts of old-time, bluegrass & folk, playing the songs of John Hartford, Hank Williams, Dock Boggs, The Band, Eck Robertson & Ed Haley. They are currently writing and releasing a steady stream of new, original singles & videos & have a new CD titled ‘Big Wing’. John Showman has made his mark as one of the very best and most influential fiddle players in Canada while Chris Coole, now a gripping songwriter, is renowned for his clawhammer banjo picking. The show starts at 7pm & tickets are $30. For tickets & more information, visit Regier Theatre.
