Tuesday, November 11th, honour our veterans, those lost & those still with us, with Remembrance Day ceremonies in Campbell River.
The parade will march from its starting point to the Cenotaph in Spirit Square for the ceremony.
Remembrance Day schedule for the Cenotaph in Spirit Square:
- 10:45 a.m.: Parade marchers and veterans will assemble at their designated spots.
- 10:50 a.m.: The ceremony begins, including the singing of "O Canada" and prayers.
- 11:00 a.m.: The traditional two-minute silence is observed, starting with the playing of the "Last Post".
Following the silence: Other parts of the ceremony, such as the Lament, Rouse, and the laying of wreaths, will take place.
- 11:35 a.m.: The parade will march past the reviewing stand.
- 11:40 a.m.: The parade is dismissed.
